There are so many ways to save when you are in Dubai but most people don’t know this. As a resident of five years, living in this stunning desert oasis can be challenging because everything is just simply more expensive than anywhere else, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time.

Once a year we stay at the Atlantis Hotel on the Palm Island in Jumeirah because it is actually quite cheaper than what most people think.

Here are some money saving tips for booking at the Atlantis.

• Book in advance to stay during the summer months. Rooms cost half the price or even less! Most residents leave for summer because it gets really hot with temperatures reaching 40 degrees plus, but what people forget is that there is air conditioning everywhere, so you don’t actually feel it until you go outside.
• Pay for only your room. What most people don’t realise when they travel to Dubai is that, but the time you pay for entrance fees for the water parks at the resort and other activities, it pays for the room anyway! Single beds at this hotel are huge and are actually the size of a small double bed. So try to book for a twin room if you are a family of three to four. This is the Middle East! Everything is large as a standard!
• Get Free Adventure Passes for the whole family. Paying for the room alone gives you free access to the following:
  • Aquaventure Waterpark – This is the largest aqua park in Dubai, and one i consider the best by far. Your room rate covers for free entrance fees for the whole family for two days. Yes you read it correct. You can use this access for the day you checkin, and the next day also. One pass alone for averages at $80USD per person including children, so thats a saving of $320 for free!
  • The Lost Chambers Aquarium – Watch 65,000 marine animals swim in this adventure lagoon aquarium. You can access this directly from the hotel lobby past the shopping boulevard. The Lost Chambers also has 21 other exhibits to explore so you will need a few hours here with the little kids as they will want to see everything. The cost for this is roughly $30USD per person including children, so that’s a total saving of $120USD right there alone! Remember you can access this park for two days too!
  • White Beach – Free Access to this stunning private Beach Club strictly for adults only. You will need to book your children in at the hotel’s Children’s Club for some little adult-time away.
  • Nobu by the Beach – Free to book and is perfect for that child-free getaway.
• One night for the price of two! – Remember these facilities are free as long as you are a paying hotel guest even if you are only staying for one night, you can keep your luggage at the concierge and continue using the these services the next day as well.
